Durham Region, located east of Toronto, is a diverse area encompassing both urban and rural municipalities. It's known for its mix of residential, commercial, and agricultural land, with a strong focus on innovation, particularly in the energy and automotive sectors. The region is also recognized for its vibrant arts and culture scene. Objective : In support of local artists, Durham Region developed a Public Art Program in which their designs would be showcased on traffic boxes throughout the region. Sixteen artists were selected and their artwork is now available to residents and tourists alike to enjoy while strolling the region's sidewalks.
